Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrival Istanbul

    Arrival at Istanbul Airports (Ataturk or Sabiha Gokcen). In assistance of our local professional tour guide transfer by bus to the hotel. Welcome-Cocktail. Dinner and overnight. expand
  • Day 02 : Istanbul - Canakkale

    After breakfast, departure for full day sightseeing tour of the city including visits to famed TOPKAPI Palace, the great palace of OTTOMAN Sultans, St. SOPHIA Museum, a 5th century basilica with its spectacular frescoes and immense central dome still considered as an architectural marvel; The BLUE Mosque, exquisitely decorated with blue tiles; the HIPPODROME of the old city, location of chariot races and the center of early Byzantine life afternoon departure for CANAKKALE.expand
    Drive along the northern coast of the Marmara Sea to famed GALLIPOLI, site of the fierce battles during the First World War and cross the DARDANELLES with a ferry arriving Canakkale, overnight at hotel.

  • Day 03 : Canakkale - Izmir

    Breakfast and departure for IZMIR. En route visit to TROY, the legendary city of Homer's "ILIAD" and "ODYSSEY" where the TROJAN Horse was used to end the ten years siege of the city. Further drive to PERGAMUM, the capital of ancient Asia Minor, perched high on a hill. expand
    Visit ASCLEPEION, the famous health center, the Parchment Library that once contained over 200.000 volumes, the Acropolis, and the monument of ZEUS Altar. Drive over Biblical Thyatira to Sardis, Visit to SARDES 52 kms. from MANISA on the road to Salihli, this where money was minted for the first time in history. Capital of the Lydian State is one of the seven churches of the APOCALYPSE. Visits includes Temple of ARTEMIS, GYMNASIUM and SYNAGOGUE. After visits drive to IZMIR (ancient Smyrna) the third largest city in Turkey and visit to the Church of St. POLICARPE. Dinner and overnight in IZMIR.

  • Day 04 : Izmir - Ephesus - Pamukkale

    Whole day excursion to EPHESUS, one of the most important and best preserved cities of the ancient world, with its huge theater, the Odeon, the Library, and Roman baths. On the way to EPHESUS, visit the TEMPLE of ARTEMIS, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Drive to the Basilica of St. John, which was build here after the death of Apostle John. expand
    Visit to Isa BEY MOSQUE and drive to the chapel of the VIRGIN MARY and Saint JEAN Basilica. Departure and drive along the MEANDER VALLEY to the ruins of NYSSA situated in a romantic setting on the both sides of a precipitous gorge, where engineering skill evident in the vaulted substructures supporting buildings, streets and squares, is a very impressive. Visit includes Gymnasium, Stadium, remains of Roman bridge, Library, Theater, Roman Baths and Agora. Drive continue to PAMUKKALE, where fantastic cotton white prateaus have formed from the travertine deposits of warm springs cascading over the chalk cliffs. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 05 : Pamukkale - Antalya

    After breakfast, visit the ancient city of HIERAPOLIS and the ruins where the APOSTLE PHILIP martyred. Short stop at LAODICEA and drive along the MEANDER VALLEY to the ruins of the Roman City APHRODISIAS, famous for its incredibly beautiful sculpture and statuary, and its museum full of magnificent art (Acropolis, Theater, Temple of Aphrodite, Odeion, Agora, Portico of Tiberius, Baths of Hadrian, Stadium).expand
    Finally arrive in ANTALYA for dinner and overnight at hotel.

  • Day 06 : Antalya - Silifke

    Breakfast and departure for MERSIN well-known as Turkish California. En route visits to antic sites PERGE (Greco-Roman theater, Stadium-One of the best preserved stadiums of antiquity, Tomb of Plancia Magna, Agora-a large square 65x65 m. in area, Roman baths, The Bishopric Basilica of Perge, Acropolis, Nymphaion i.e. fountain from Hadrian` s period), SIDE (City Wall, Main Gate, City Fountain, Aqueduct, Colonnaded Street, Agora, Theater, Monumental Gate), ASPENDOS-The only city besides Side which was minting silver coins by early 5th century (Agora, Basilica, Market Hall, Nymphaion, Aqueduct-One of the most impressive Roman aqueducts to be found in Turkey, Theater, Stadium ).expand
    Drive to east to SILIFKE-Seleukia a city founded by Seleukos I at the beginning of 3rd century B.C. and visits to Church of St. THEKLA dating from the 5th century A.D., KORYKOS known by the local inhabitants as Cennet and Cehennem (Heaven and Hell), POMPEIPOLIS and OLBA-DIOCAESAREA located 30 km. North of Silifke are some of the most important and best preserved ruins in Turkey among them are Temple of Zeus Olbios, The Tychaion-Temple dedicated to the goddess of good Fortune, Theater, Tomb, Tower, Gymnasium. Dinner and overnight in Silifke or Mersin.

  • Day 07 : Silifke - Cappadocia

    Breakfast and departure for CAPPADOCIA. En route visits to TARSUS (Tars) including House of St. PAUL, CLEOPATRA & ANTONIUS Gate. expand
    On the way to Cappadocia visit to Monastery ESKI GUMUS and one of the underground Cities of KAYMAKLI or DERINKUYU. Arrival Cappadocia for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 08 : C a p p a d o c i a

    Whole day in mystic Valley of Cappadocia with the visits to Natural Castle / Hill of UCHISAR to get the marvelous panoramic view. expand
    Continue visits by Real open-air Museum of GOREME, IHLARA VALLEY and it's FAIRY Chimneys. A short pause in authentic Village URGUP, visit to AVANOS and Ceramics Ateliers. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 09 : Cappadocia - Ankara

    After breakfast departure for ANKARA-The Capital City of Republic of Turkey and visits of Museum of Anatolian Civilizations-One of the world`s most important and interesting museums, housed in the covered bazaar, consists works representative of the prehistoric, Hattian, Hittite, Phrygian, Urartian, Persian, Greek and Roman civilizations. expand
    Mausoleum of ATATURK-The founder of modern Turkey, Roman THERMAL Baths, AUGUSTUS Temple- where AUGUSTUS, sixteen months before his death, only the last one of his private will and testament, the systematic account of the deeds he accomplished during his lifetime, The "Index Rerum Gestarum" has been preserved through the bilingual inscription in Latin and Greek carved on the walls of the temple.   • Day 10 : Ankara - Bursa

    Breakfast and departure to the historical city of Bursa, once the capital of OTTOMANS, one of the famous thermal centers in Turkey and today well-known as Green BURSA. En route visit to St. SOPHIA in IZNIK (NICAEA). Continue drive to BURSA and visit to GREEN Mosque and TOMB. Dinner and overnight in BURSA. expand
  • Day 11 : Bursa - Istanbul

    Departure for ISTANBUL. Drive and drive north to Izmit Bay, crossing the Marmara Sea with a ferry, arrive in the Asian side of Istanbul. Climb to Camlica Hill for a panoramic view of the city. Crossing the Bosphorus Bridge, separating the two continents, drive to airport for back home flight. expand
