Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrival Istanbul

    Arrival at Istanbul Airports (Ataturk or Sabiha Gokcen). In assistance of our local professional tour guide transfer by bus to the hotel. Welcome-Cocktail. Dinner and overnight. expand
  • Day 02 : Istanbul - Troy

    After breakfast, departure for AYVALIK. Drive along the northern coast of the Marmara Sea to famed GALLIPOLI, site of the fierce battles during the First World War and cross the DARDANELLES with a ferry arriving in TROY via CANAKKALE, the legendary city of Homer's "ILIAD" and "ODYSSEY" where the TROYAN Horse was used to end the ten years siege of the city. expand
    Further drive to the hotel located at BEHRAMKALE (ASSOS ) for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 03 : Pergamum - Pamukkale

    Breakfast and departure for PAMUKKALE, en route visit to PERGAMUM, the capital of ancient Asia Minor,perched high on a hill. expand
    Visit ASCLEPEION, the famous health center, the Parchment LIBRARY that once contained over 200.000 volumes, the ACROPOLIS, and the monument of ZEUS Altar. Drive over Biblical Thyatira to SARDIS, visiting the huge Synagogue, Gymnasium and the Temple of ARTEMIS. Continue over biblical THYATIRA to PAMUKKALE, where fantastic cotton white prateaus have formed from the travertine deposits of warm springs cascading over the chalk cliffs. Visit the ancient city of HIERAPOLIS and the ruins where the APOSTLE PHILIP martyred. You will have the opportunity to rest and enjoy soothing mineral waters or natural spring pools. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 04 : Pamukkale - Kusadasi

    After breakfast, departure for KUSADASI-Bird Islands. Short stop at LAODICEA and drive along the MEANDER Valley to the ruins of the Roman City APHRODISIAS, famous for its incredibly beautiful sculpture and statuary, and its museum full of magnificent art. Finally arrive in KUSADASI for dinner and overnight at hotel. expand
  • Day 05 : Kusadasi - Ephesus - Kusadasi

    Visit EPHESUS, one of the most important and best preserved cities of the ancient world, with its huge theater, the Odeon, the Library, and Roman baths. On the way to EPHESUS, visit the Temple of ARTEMIS, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. expand
    Drive to the Basilica of St. JOHN, which was build here after the death of Apostle JOHN. Drive to the chapel of the VIRGIN MARY (Panaya Kapulu). Dinner and overnight in KUSADASI.

  • Day 06 : Kusadasi - Philadelphia - Izmir

    Departure for visit to PHILADELPHIA at ALASEHIR (the Red City) a city built by King Attalus Philadelphus. As the good news was shared with the inhabitants here, many received its message and organized themselves into a loving brotherhood worthy of Christ's commendation. Native Christians of this magnificent area, of vineyards and gardens, believe that the building now used as a mosque was the original church building in which believers gathered. expand
    Visit to SARDES 52 kms. from MANISA on the road to Salihli, this where money was minted for the first time in history. Capital of the Lydian State is one of the seven churches of the APOCALYPSE. Visits includes Temple of ARTEMIS, GYMNASIUM and SYNAGOGUE. After visits drive to IZMIR (ancient Smyrna) the third largest city in Turkey and visit to the Church of St. POLICARPE. Dinner and overnight in IZMIR.

  • Day 07 : Izmir - Bursa

    (Visit of St. POLICARPE can be done today instead of day 6) After visit departure to the historical city of Bursa, once the capital of OTTOMANS and now one of the famous thermal centers in Turkey. By the arrival visit fter breakfast visit to GREEN Mosque and TOMB.

  • Day 08 : Bursa - Istanbul

    Departure for ISTANBUL. Drive to IZNIK (NICAEA) visit to St. SOPHIA and drive north to Izmit Bay, crossing the Marmara Sea with a ferry, arrive in the Asian side of Istanbul. Climb to Camlica Hill for a panoramic view of the city. expand
    Crossing the Bosphorus Bridge, separating the two continents, arrive in hotel for dinner and overnight. Before the accommodation at hotel visit as much as possible just to not remain for day 09. Visit to famed TOPKAPI Palace, the great palace of OTTOMAN Sultans, ST. SOPHIA Museum, a fifth century basilica with its spectacular frescoes and immense central dome still considered as an architectural marvel; The BLUE Mosque, exquisitely decorated with blue tiles; the HIPPODROME of the old city, location chariot races and the center of early Byzantine life; the 11th century Church of ST. SAVIOUR in CHORA, with its marvelous 14th century mosaics and frescoes on gold and the grand closed bazaar. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

  • Day 09 : Istanbul

    Breakfast and departure to the Airport for return flight home. If possible with the time, s/s tour of Istanbul with the visit remain from yesterday.
